What DrillX actually changes, and what it does not.

Most software in this industry claims an ESG benefit it cannot evidence. This page states what DrillX genuinely moves, shows the arithmetic behind every number, and names the limits — because a claim a client's sustainability team can pull apart is worse than no claim at all.

The honest starting point. DrillX is software for drilling wells, most of which produce hydrocarbons. It does not decarbonise that. What it does is make each well shorter, each record truthful, and each worker able to speak in his own language. Those are real and measurable. Nothing on this page claims more than that.

Fewer days on the well means less diesel burned. Measured per section, reported in tonnes of CO₂e, on every design package.

A man records what happened in the language he actually speaks, and no one works on an expired well control ticket.

Separation of duties, immutable records and no invented numbers — enforced in code, not in policy.

Environmental — the arithmetic, not the claim

Emissions reporting is built into the design package. Every well plan states estimated diesel consumption, total CO₂e and kilograms of CO₂e per metre drilled, using the rig's own fuel rate.

Where the reduction actually comes from

DrillX does not make an engine cleaner. It shortens the well. Fuel burn on a land rig is close to a function of days on location, so recovering lost days removes fuel directly.

Scope and honesty. This is Scope 1 rig combustion only. It excludes flaring, transport, cement manufacture, steel and everything downstream. It is an estimate from the rig's stated fuel rate, not a metered figure. Replace our fuel rate with your own and the number changes — which is exactly why the working is printed rather than the conclusion.

Social — the part nobody else builds

Language is a safety issue, not a feature

On a Gulf rig floor the crew records in Arabic, Urdu, Hindi or Tagalog. Every competing platform assumes English input, so the toolpusher's note, the HSE observation and the near-miss card never reach the system that analyses them. The most important half of what happened is lost at the point of entry.

DrillX takes the entry in the language it was written and keeps the original wording as the record. A man can report a hazard properly without waiting for someone who writes English. The interface runs in English, Arabic, Spanish, French, Chinese and Urdu.

No invented numbersEvery field traces to a sensor reading, a prior approved document or a keystroke. If the source cannot be identified the field stays blank. Blank is an acceptable answer; a guess is not
Separation of dutiesThe driller records that time was lost. A different named person decides whose account it is charged to. Neither can do both
Immutable recordA countersigned tour sheet locks. A change creates a revision with an audit trail and a named signatory. Nothing is overwritten
Original wording preservedThe Arabic entry is the record. The English is a rendering of it, never a replacement
Standards conformanceNinety API, ISO, IADC, IWCF, NORSOK and IOGP standards mapped to the documents they govern, printed on each document

What we will not claim. DrillX is not carbon neutral, not certified to ISO 14001 or 45001, has no third-party assurance of the figures above, and does not reduce the emissions of the hydrocarbons a well produces. The savings shown are estimates from stated assumptions, not audited results. When a real client fleet has run for a year we will publish measured numbers and say so plainly. Until then, treat everything here as arithmetic you can check rather than performance we have proven.
